And the whole class laughs out... Yes You are right . These are Back Benchers - Sharp, Witty and always ready to go out of the class :). Special species are very commonly found in in the end of the every class. The teachers feel that they are the reason and cause for every naughty thing that happens in class. The impression one carries about them is that they just want fun and not studies.

In parliamentary systems, a backbencher is a Member of Parliament (MP) or a legislator who does not hold governmental office and is not a Front Bench spokesperson in the Opposition. A backbencher may be a new parliamentary member yet to receive high office, a senior figure dropped from government, or someone who for whatever reason is not chosen to sit either in the ministry or the opposition and individually do not have much power to influence government policy.

But In Education Systems, This term is used to describe the group of students who hold the much of the powers in the class. You all knew this very well. According to them , Students who sits in front rows needs more attention towards studies. No doubt front rows' students are intelligent and hardworking but on the otherside back benchers are all rounders . Just look out the characterstics of Back benchers

1. Proxy Experts (Even a girl student can attend a roll call in male voice :P)
2. Punctual. Always come 10 mins late in the class.
3. Kind hearted. Always give chances to others to speak out the answers as they know the actual meaning of 'Right to Speak'.
4. Energetic : Always ready to go out of the class.
5. Leaders : When its time to Bunk the Classes.
6. Cheerful : "Smart Answers" is one of the qualities of Back Benchers.
7. Creative And innovative.
8. Time and Risk Management.
And many more.

Even Many famous Personalities were backbenchers in their childhood.So never under estimate the power of the Backbenchers. No teacher is bothered about these back benchers, justice is never done to these back benchers who sometimes leave their answer sheets blank as they went to free their teachers from the trouble of correcting more papers but believe me if you look carefully in to their uncanny eyes, they certainly create an impression and catch your attention. So friends have a good impression about these generous and courteous students. [:P]
